Call for IBIS related patent disclosures: - None Call for opens: - None Review of previous meeting minutes: Minutes from the August 20 meeting were reviewed. Lance Wang moved to approve the minutes. Bob Ross seconded. Without objection the minutes were approved. ARs: - Bob Ross to write bug report for [Series Switch] argument bug - Done New IBISCHK bugs: Bob Ross showed bug206.ibs. The associated bug report had been corrupted and was not shown. Two [Series Switch Groups] lines were missing the group numbers after [On] and [Off]. We reviewed the syntax rules for Series Switch. Lance Wang said missing group numbers were not specifically prohibited. Bob agreed. He said it might be a warning, not an error, for that reason. Bob noted that the bug was reported by an EDA customer. AR: Bob Ross to complete bug report for [Series Switch] argument bug IBISCHK700 parser development: Bob Ross said he sent updated Aggressor_Only rules to the developer. There has been no feedback since. Atul may have completed the overlap rules, but that was not clear. Mike LaBonte hoped we would have the final code in September. Bob said we could update the user guide after posting the executables. IBISCHK7 source code license: Bob Ross reported no change since last week. Mike LaBonte noted that we already have an ibischk7@ibis.org FTP account, but some FTP tools have trouble with the account name, which is formatted like an SFTP user@server address but will not work that way. He suggested we could temporarily copy files to an undiscoverable web location for licensees having trouble, and then removing it. Mike said he was not completely satisfied with our web service BlueHost, partly due to the FTP problem but for other reasons too. IBIS-ISS parser: Mike LaBonte noted that an RFQ for an IBIS-ISS parser had been written and reviewed. Bob Ross said the differences between level 1 and level 4 might not be clear. He also said there was confusion over whether to integrate the ISS parser into IBISCHK. Mike said if IBISCHK and ISSCHK have no connection at all, the terminal lists of Interconnect Models could not be checked against the IBIS-ISS sub-circuits they reference. He reviewed different approaches for resolving that: 1 - IBISCHK could have a limited IBIS-ISS parser that only looks at .subckt lines. 2 - ISSCHK could print INFO lines giving the number of terminals for each subckt, which IBISCHK would use. 3 - The ISS parser code could be integrated into IBISCHK. Mike favored the second approach. Bob said we would not send the RFQ to the developer until IBISCHK7 was completed. Bob Ross moved to adjourn. Lance Wang seconded. Without objection the meeting ended. Meeting ended: 12:02 ET Next meeting September 3, 2019
